NDC Are Recruiting Ivoirians, Togolese And Burkinabe To Rig 2016 Elections –Kennedy Ohene Agyapong

The Member of Parliament [MP] for Asin Central in the Central Region of Ghana, Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has stated that the National Democratic Congress NDC party started rigging the 2016 general election way back in March 2015.

According to him, the NDC government under President John Dramani Mahama, upon its own research realized that Ghanaians were not going to retain the party in power, so they decided to bloat the voters register with non-Ghanaians to vote for NDC come 2016 elections.

Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong made the disclosure at a town hall meeting organized by the Toronto Chapter of the NPP on August 16, 2015.

Addressing Ghanaians resident in the Greater Toronto-Area [GTA] in the sanctuary of the Ghanaian Presbyterian Church in Toronto he further disclosed that, the NDC activists have started recruiting Ivoirians, Togolese and Burkinabe’s to come and register as eligible voters to vote for the NDC in the next elections.

“But they were caught pants down when vigilant NPP activists discovered their diabolical tricks of recruiting foreigners as voters register to bloat the voters register with ” he revealed.

The law maker representing Asin Central said, the NDC is cock sure that with the hardship visited on Ghanaians it is not likely that they will retain the party in power so relying on its only sure bet to win power by recruiting foreigners to come and determine the fate of Ghanaians on the election day.

But he assured all that the NPP will seek a radical change to the voters register by making sure that a clean voter’s register is put together for the national exercise.

He took a swipe at the Electoral Commission of Ghana [E.C.] describing it as unfair electoral body which is in bed with the ruling NDC party that is why it is recruiting NDC cadres to station them as returning officers to rig the election for the NDC.

He mentioned Ketu South Constituency as an example of one of the first five constituencies which the NDC was caught bloating the voters register with names of foreigners.

“How can Kety South Constituency out of the first five constituencies be one of the biggest constituency where with 126,657 NDC voters will give Mahama over half a million votes?” he asked.

The NPP MP for Asin Central said, despite all the diabolical tactics being used by the NDC to rig the next election, the NPP is monitoring closely to ensure that it prevents the ruling party from rigging the next election.
