Nana Oboadie questions the Agric minister

At the just ended First National Agric Summit organized by FAGRO, the Acting Youth Organizer for Ghana National Association of Farmers and Fishermen (GNAFF) and the president for Concern Farmers Association, Nana Oboadie Opambour Bonsu Boateng II questioned the Agric minister Hon. Fiifi Kwetey concerning money the government allocated worth US$150 for farmers in Ghana.

According to him, there have been several occasions where government allocate huge sums of money for farmers but he (Opambour) does not know if there are special farmers in the country who receives these monies.

He reiterated the saying “the role of the Youth and Women in Agriculture” is not working in this country because government always issue cheque for the youth and women in agriculture but they have not seen any money even in his own region (Eastern Region) but if some farmers received those monies the ministry must let them know otherwise the saying “Youth in agriculture” will not work because what the National Farmers and Fishermen Award Winners Association (NFFAWAG) are doing now tells plainly that the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) is actually doing nothing to help farmers in this country.
