The Member of Parliament (MP) for Yilo Krobo, Lawyer Magnus Kofi Amoatey has distributed mathematical sets to BECE candidates in his constituency.
The MP who has education at heart, organized extra classes for final year Junior High School students in the municipality prior to the commencement of the 2017 Basic Education Certificate Examination and also sponsored a mock exam for the student last year to prepare them adequately for the test.
The donation was done on his behalf by Mr. Edmund Tetteh, his spokes person and some constituency executives of the National Democratic Congress who delivered a good will message to the candidates from the honourable MP.
Amongst the team that went to present the items to the candidates were Mr. Solomon Sackitey, Municipal PRO of the Ghana Education Service (GES) and Anthony Ayertey, Project Coordinator for Rite FM’s District Education Observer Project (DEOP)II.
In an interaction with some of the students, they expressed their profound gratitude to the MP and his team for the gesture.
Basic schools across the West African sub region began their final exams dubbed Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) on monday, organized by the West African Examination Council (WAEC).
