Mr Samuel Oppong, the Agona West Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), said the Assembly would collaborate with Agricultural Extension Officers to offer advice to the farmers.

He said the MP and the Agona West Assembly had targeted 50,000 seedlings to farmers by the close of the year. He said the Rural Enterprise Project, with the support of the African Development Bank (AfDB), would soon install a multi-million-dollar-plant to process palm fruits into oil after harvesting.

Mr Jackson Asiamah Boateng, Agricultural Extension Officer in the area, assured the farmers that the officers would offer the necessary advice to farmers to avoid wasting seedlings. He advised the farmers to stop applying unapproved chemicals on the seedlings.
