Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has spent this week drawing up plans for a big spending summer.
The Mirror says Mourinho could spend around £200million attempting to reshaping his squad in a bid to close the gap on Manchester City.
Big name stars from Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are on the shortlist – and it could mean that Paul Pogba is let go in order to finance the deal.
The top duo on his hit list are Real Madrid stars Raphael Varane and Toni Kroos as Mourinho looks to import quality into defence and midfield.
Mourinho’s back-up plan would be PSG pair Marquinhos and Marco Verratti, with £45m Juventus left-back Alex Sandro eyed as a solution to United’s problems with Luke Shaw.
Pogba and PSG would be a natural fit – and Mourinho is banking on that prospect to encourage the French side to be open for a double deal for Verratti and Marquinhos.
