Moringa Farmer Highlights Its Medicinal Values

Farmers in our part of the world are very vital people of whom the whole population depends on for survival. Their farming venture includes crop cultivation and which includes moringa farming for that matter. In this regard, Mr. Paul Yeboah, President of the Moringa Farmers Association has been spelling out the several uses of the moringa plant on Rite FM.

On Friday’s Akuafo Sesen with Krobea Asante, he noted the several products which he explained are processed from the morinaga including their many medicinal values.  Mr. Yeboah emphasized that he has been able to bring out products than can cure several types of diseases.

“The moringa oil is one of our products which help people with blood pressure,” he stated, adding that ‘the oil also relieves pain when smeared on the body, improves the growth of human hair as well as giving one’s hair a shiny and beautiful look,’ Mr. ,’ Mr. Yeboah added.

Another product he highlighted on was the moringa soap. This product, according to him helps and cures bodily diseases and piles as well as baldness. Other products mentioned by the president of the Moringa farmers included the moringa ointment and the moringa shampoo for ladies.

Mr. Yeboah expressed gratitude to one Mr. Noah Fugri, an expatriate researcher who did most of his research works at Kintampo where Mr. Yeboah learnt most of his artistic herbal products from the moringa plant.

He however admitted that Ghanaians were yet to come to terms with the uses of the moringa products because the products have not yet been endorsed by the Food and Drugs Authority. “The Food and Drugs Authority is organizing a seminar for herbal drug manufacturers so we would be there to express our worries so that they can help us sell our products all over the country,’ he added.
