More Youth Are Into Farming This Time – GIPC Affirms

Dr. Richard Adjei, Director of Veterinary at the Ghana Investment Promotion Council (GIPC) has stated that most of the youth are drawing back to the villages to engage in Agriculture which will serve as source of employment to the people.

He disclosed this in a presentation he gave atRite FM’s Agric Forum (RAF  2017) which began this morning with Agric experts and technocrats including many farmers from all the surrounding districts.

He has therefore thrown a challenge to the youth to be serious with farming since it is more of a business rather than an activity. In his submission, he appealed to the chiefs to release lands for the youth to entice them into the agriculture sector.

He has also advised farmers to consider how to market their lands, what to grow and their environment in order to avoid being cheated by the market women. he insisted that Farmers must learn more to promote and enlarge their farms.
