Merchandised Farming Won’t Give You Rigid Looks

By Catherine Ahiador:

Mr. Nelson Asiedu, CEO of Annex ‘A’ Enterprise has expressed his worry at the fact that the youth are shying away from agriculture. Mr. Asiedu who was speaking on Rite FM’s Kuapayo with Edwin Larbi said that today’s youth are always shying away at the mention of farming.

Mr. Asiedu therefore advised passionate but timid youth who have passion to venture into the agricultural sector but are scared of venturing into the sector due to reasons of developing rigid physical looks not to worry about that. This he explained is because we are now in modern times where farmers use merchandised machines to farm, compared to the olden times when farmers resorted to obsolete equipment such as cutlass and hoe to clear and prepare their farms and as a result develop hard palms and rigid muscular body stature.

He assured the youth that there are more mechanized equipment which can be used today to clear and prepare their lands as farmers where it would even be difficult for anybody to identify them as farmers.

Mr. Nelson Asiedu explained further that, farmers should clear their lands consistently so that the farmlands would not grow stronger and taller weeds which are difficult to control. He therefore advised farmers to use chemicals to control weeds on their farms, since weeding now seems very difficult especially when weeds grow bigger and stronger on the farms.

Mr. Nelson explained that grasses are very difficult to control on farm lands compared to broad leaves and other soft leaves which are easy to cut down and with that the farmers must not apply the same chemicals they use on the broad leaves on the grass weeds but rather opt for weeds that can control the grass weeds aside the broad leave.
