Some residents of Odumase Krobo including chiefs, Dade Mantse’s, elders and members from five division of Manya Krobo are demonstrating against their paramount chief (Konor) for allegedly taking and litigating over individual and families lands.
The protestors also accuse Nene Sackitey 11 of imposing undue authority over the five divisions.
The demonstrators are mainly from Dorm, Manya, Suisi, Piengua and Akwenor.
They are in a petition letter to be presented to the Municipal Chief Executive, also accusing the Konor of hiring the services of some Kuwaitis to exhume the remains of their ancestors buried in the heart of the Krobo Mountains in search of gold, human bones, bottles, beads and other precious metals used to bury their ancestors.
They further alleged, Nene Sackite has employed the services of Land guards to intimidate alluvial landowners.
They say his continued abuse of his leadership role as Konor threatens the security of Manya Krobo.
