Mango farmers advised to protect their farms

The second National best Farmer for the year 2012, has advised mango farmers to protect their farms to enable them have good yield.

Mr. Enoch Teye in an interview with RITE FM, noted that farmers should do a continuous weeding on their mango farms and also use insecticides and fungicides to spray the mangoes to enhance a good productivity.

He added that, if the farmers do not protect their farms by weeding and also spraying to avoid insect such as fungi from the fruit, they will not get a good yield though it flourished alright and also it will not attract buyers.

Mr. Teye therefore advised  farmers, especially those in Dangme West and Yilo Krobo Municipality to continue the mango farming because factories are coming for their yield and the more they cultivate the more factories will be established.
