Management, players grateful to supporters

Managers and players of Kotoko have expressed their profound gratitude to their supporters for the wonderful support they gave to the team in the just ended 2014/15 First Capital Plus Premier League. Kotoko supporters rallied behind the team in what has been described by many as an extremely difficult season for the fabulous team.

And management including the players of the club believe that, the supporters ought to be thanked for their immense show of love despite all the difficulties. “There were pains and disappointments; looking at things from the CAF Champions League exit; our inability to retain both the FA Cup and the Premier League titles” General Manager, Opoku Nti observed.

“Our supporters went through so much pain. I console them. I also thank them for responding to us anytime we called on them. We appreciate everything they did for the club. We believe they deserved better. We will sit back, review the season and ensure that, a good story is told next season” he added before appealing to the supporters to forgive the team.

“Next season will be better. We accept that our supporters should have been given more to cheer about. They should forgive us and forget about everything. We will bounce back. We should come together to build up from where we ended” Opoku Nti advised.

The General Manager did not mince words about the need for Kotoko to reclaim the unfairly deducted points by the Ghana Football Association (GFA)’s Disciplinary Committee. He was emphatic that Kotoko have a good case and would get favourable judgement at the Appeals Committee of the GFA who are yet to rule on the issue brought before it
