A man has committed suicide after his wife dumped him at Bondie near Prestea in the Western Region.
The deceased, Doe Kpemeda, a 40-year-old farmer hanged himself in his room after his girlfriend left his house.
The Prestea District Police Commander, Superintendent Timothy Dassah who confirmed this to Adom News said the man hanged himself with a sponge.
He explained that the lady, Nana Yaa called it quits after the deceased threatened to kill her.
The Prestea District Police Commander indicated that prior to his death, the 40-year-old farmer had accused his girlfriend of infidelity after a two-year relationship.
Supt. Dassah added that the distraught farmer realising his girlfriend had left the house killed himself and was found dead the next morning by neighbours.
The body has been deposited at the Prestea Government hospital mortuary pending police investigations.
