Mahama to commission Kpong water expansion project

President John Mahama will symbolically turn on the pumps at the Kpong Water Supply Expansion Project today.

This will deliver about 20 million gallons of water per day to communities in Adenta, Madina, Kwabenya, North and East Legon and its environs.

These communities have been experiencing chronic water shortage for many years therefore; the completion of this project will thus bring relief to the residents in these areas.

In February this year, the President inspected the project which is being executed by the Exim Bank of China and the government of Ghana.

The project when finally completed is expected to pump 40 million gallons of water to residents in Accra.
