Krobo Girls SHS Celebrates 88th Speech and Prize-Giving Day

Krobo Girls Senior High School, has celebrated its 88th Speech and Prize-Giving Day on the school Premises on 14th March,2015 .

The theme for this year celebration was Educating the Girl Child in 21st Century.

Addressing the gathering at the program the Deputy Eastern Regional Minister, Hon Mavis Ama Frimpong said, government is working hard in providing quality education in the country through the establishment of a scholarship fund to help needy but brilliant students, adding that GES has set up a Girls Education Project to enable them have access to education.

She added that, women that are given various roles are excelling and so she expects Krobo Girls to churn out students who will hold key positions as well produce the first female president in Ghana.

Congratulating Miss Elizabeth Naa Abiana Molten who was awarded the best WASSCE student, Hon Mavis has advised girls to focus on their education so that they can grab the opportunities that are out there for women.

The event was highly patronized among them, the Deputy Eastern Regional Minister, Hon Mavis Ama Frimpong, Vice Chancellor of University for Development Studies,(UDS) Professor Gabriel Teye, who was also the chairman for the program, Eastern Regional Director of Ghana Education Service(GES), Teachers and Students of Krobo Girls.
