Kotoko Fans Want Referee Samuel Sukah Banned

Kotoko fans are calling on the Ghana Football Association to suspend referee Samuel Sukah for his controversial decision in their 0-1 loss to Hearts of Oak.

Referee Sukah became the talking point after awarding a dubious penalty for the home side 7 minutes from time to deny Kotoko a point at the Accra Sports Stadium.

His decision left the Kotoko supporters disappointed as Hearts of Oak ended the eight-year jinx of failing to beat their rivals at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Speaking to a section of the supporters after the game, fans of the Porcupine Warriors expressed their grief and called for referee Sukah to be banned.

“It is sad to lose this way, referee Sukah let us down, obviously that was not a penalty and I am very disappointed,” a supporter spoke to Ghanasportsonline.com.

“These are some of the things affecting our League, I will urge the referee’s appointment committee to watch the video well and punish referee Sukah for taking such decision.

“He must be banned to serve as a lesson for the other referees in the League.”

Ghanasportsonline.com sources reveal Kotoko are planning to protest against the yellow card issued to defender Ahmed Adams.
