 Kotoko and Hearts Lack Good Structures – Takyi Arhin

An Outspoken football administrator, Mr. Takyi Arhin, popularly known as “Thunder” in the football circles has descended heavily on both Accra Hearts Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko citing they do not have good structures that will aid  the clubs to improve.

Both Hearts and Kotoko are facing issues that have to do with Board Chairman of the various Clubs having a misunderstanding with their supporters.

Hearts of Oak Board Chairman Togbe Afede VI has refused to meet the supporters of the club to thrash out issues affecting the progress of the capital based club and Asante Kotoko’s Board Chairman Dr. Kwame Kyei on the other hand has also threatened to step down if their supporters Chairman Kwaku Amponsah, nicknamed ‘K5’ refused to step down as the chairman of Asante kotoko’s supporting group Circles.

And Thunder speaking on the issues affecting the two biggest clubs in Ghana on Rite FM’s Sports World program last Saturday revealed that in other for the two biggest clubs in Ghana to function well they have to put in place proper structures to see to the day to day running of the club.

“A team is made up of a whole lot of structures, we have, the management, the playing body, the supporters, the directors, life patrons and so no and if the structures of the team is working well is the supporters who does the major work in the team.

And if the structures in Kotoko and Hearts are working the two teams will not be in a state like this.’ Takyi Arhin disclosed to Rite Sports.
