Koforidua Technical University Lecturer Donates To Atua, St. Martins Hospitals

2016 Parliamentary Candidate for Lower Manya Krobo Constituency in the Eastern Region on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party and lecturer at the Koforidua Technical University, Mr. Samuel Nuertey Ayertey has donated cleaning and food items to the St. Martins de Porres and Atua Government hospitals respectively.

The items donated include: quantities of detergents, power zones, mops and mopping buckets, packs of toilet rolls, scrubbing brushes, Dettol, brooms and packs of pie and drink. While the food went to patients on admission, the cleaning items went for the general use of the hospitals.

Mr. Samuel Ayertey, famously known as Teddy Braino, speaking to ritefmonline.org, called on individuals, Civil Society groups and Non Governmental Organizations to donate to the health care facilities within their catchment areas to help ameliorate challenges facing the health centres as government cannot do all.

He further advised the management and the staff of the hospitals to exercise patience in the cause of dealing with sick persons who come for health care at their facilities.

The former Procurement Officer of the Atua Government Hospital who is currently a lecturer at the Koforidua Technical University, reiterated his commitment to future donations to the hospitals and said that this would not be last time he would be doing this but rather the continuation of what he has already started.

Madam Marylove Nai William, the Deputy Director of Nursing Services at the Atua Hospital who received the donations on behalf of the Management, praised Mr. Ayertey Nuertey for his benevolence and also made an appeal for an Ambulance to help the hospital in emergency situations.

She also called on others to also take to the footsteps of Mr. Ayertey’s leadership.

The Head of Finance at the St. Martin’s de Porres Hospital, Mr. Braima Alhassan received the items on behalf of management and staff.

Mr. Braima thanked Mr. Samuel Ayertey Nuertey for his kind gesture and appealed for equipment to support and enable the hospital stock its newly built 52-bed separate medical center to augment health services to the people.

The 2020 parliamentary hopeful has promised to donate his widow’s mite to see the facility operate to its fullest capacity.

Mr. Ayertey Nuertey Samuel, during the visit also toured the Children, female, maternity and male wards of both hospitals as he spoke some words of hope into the lives of patients and also presented them with Christmas packages.

Party sympathizers, friends and concerned community members as well family members accompanied Mr. Ayertey on his visit.
