Kennedy Agyapong takes on Peace Council

The Assin Central Member of Parliament Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong is incensed over the seeming silence of the National Peace Council on recent personality attacks in the media.

He described as worrying, the sudden deafness of the National Peace Council despite the continuous onslaught and vilification by the NDC communication team on the 2016 flagbearer of the NPP, Nana Akufo-Addo.

Speaking on Oman FM’s political analysis programme “Boiling Point” Hon. Kennedy Agyapong questioned why the National Peace Council has not bothered to call the NDC to order since any attempt by the opposition NPP to respond in equal measure could lead to chaos.

According to him, the ruling National Democratic Congress has hired Bobbie and one Mugabe, both radio presenters at Montie FM, who sit on air and rain insults on Nana Addo.

“Is the National Peace Council saying they don’t know what these guys are doing,” he quizzed.

He said, “These people sit on air and insults Nana Addo, but Peace Council has found nothing wrong with it. If I should respond in equal measure, peace council will quickly issue a statement to that effect.”
