It’s not a new thing in the history of Ghana to witness volunteers coming into the country to offer their heartfelt support to Mother Ghana and to experience life in Ghana.

On Monday, August 1, 2016 rite 90.1 Fm visited the Potters Village, one of the children’s home in Dodowa-Accra to interact with volunteers who visit the home. Upon arrival of reporters at the home, Mady and Challie from the United State of America were playing with the children. They were both students from the university who want to experience life in Ghana. Catherine is also a student from the Netherlands who was with her colleagues.

At the home these volunteers do help in many ways including bathing, dressing, cooking, and teaching and cleaning of the environment.

According to Mady, she has been in the country for a month now and is really enjoying her mission here, which is to provide social aid to the children. She her visit a historic one for which she will share experience with family and friend back home.

For Catherine, she got to Ghana July 14, 2016, the kids were very amazing who bring a lot of joy to peoples hearts. She wishes to have more medical knowledge before coming so she could help much better than she is doing now.

Challie is of the view that, there is a need for improvement in the medical needs of the kids. She has also enjoyed her stay very well since July 14, 2016 when she arrived.  To her these are lovely children who need attention so she will be coming back again in Ghana somewhere next year for her second time.
