Include Ginger Production in the Planting for Food and Job Policy – Naturopathic

A Naturopathic, who doubles as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Gladfin Health Care at Spintex Basket in the Ledzokuku Krowor Municipal Assembly of the Greater Accra Region has suggested that ginger production should be included in the planting for food and job policy.

Dr. Vincent Fianko asserts that the “numerous health benefits” and the “conducive farming lands” in the country are enough grounds to factor ginger production into the PFJ program.

Speaking in an interview with Captain Adabugar, host of the Rite Morning Show during the ‘Food Safety, Nutrition and Hygiene’ segment of the Rite Morning Ride on Tuesday to educate listeners on the health benefits of ginger, the astute doctor eulogized the medical attributes of the plant which he underscored is used in the treatment of various ailments.

“Ginger, aside its aforementioned qualities is also used to treat dry cough, inflammation, asthma, diabetes and all sorts of cancers.

The Naturopathic who described local lands as very conducive for food production regretted the low production of ginger in the country.

He encouraged the mass production of ginger, describing it as a natural pain killer, enhances the lungs, reduces stress, an aphrodisiac, reduces obesity, and improves blood cells as well as reducing stomach and menstrual pains.
