I want to help the people – Abeiku Santana

Aggrey Santana, who is aspiring to represent the people of Mfantseman West in the Central Region in parliament come 2016, has disclosed that, the wits behind his decision was to help the people of the community.

The host of Accra based Okay FM, “Ekwanso Djoodjoo” gave this assertion when he was addressing a group by name “Friends of the Media” at their general meeting last Sunday in Accra.

According to him, the people within the community were lagging behind in terms of development and therefore needed to be elevated from its current state.

He stated that a politician must have passion for their job, adding that any politician who is not passionate of his or her job would lack the vision of assisting his employers (the electorates).

Dr. Santana disclosed that he was not seeking for the MP’s position to make money for himself but rather to help the people and rebrand himself.

“I have done a lot for the people of the area and would continue to do more to ensure that the community catches up with other areas when it comes to massive development” Mr. Santana hinted. The Despite Group of Companies employee hinted that, it was the responsibility of an MP to help the people he represents, and assured that he would ensure that development hits the area when voted for.

Dr. Santana further announced that the chiefs and people of the area have assured him of their readiness to give him the nod to represent them in parliament and has in turn assured not fail them when his dream comes to past in 2017.

He accepted the fact that, being a Member of Parliament (MP) was a gigantic task but promised that with the help of God almighty he would deliver to the admiration of all when he was voted for.

According Dr. Santana, he has gained much exposure as a broadcaster and was optimistic being an MP would enhance it and go on to attract investors to the area. Abeiku took the opportunity to advice the youth in the country to be courageous in their decision makings.

He cautioned the youth to live lives full of emulation. He observed that the youth were the future leaders of the country and therefore needed to be educated to accomplish greatness.
