The Eastern Regional Chairman of the Governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bismark Tawiah Boateng has revealed that, he reported the former municipal chief to the president for his removal from office.
The cordial relationship between the former Chief Executive for the New Juaben Municipality, Dr. Kwaku Owusu Acheampong and the NDC party had been in question as the Regional chairman claimed that the former MCE did not show respect to party executives. According to him, there was bad blood between the former M.C.E and the party and which could lead the party to opposition come the 2016 elections.
According to him, two constituencies in the municipality attempted to demonstrate against the Chief Executive but he in his position as chairman forestalled that attempt.
Mr. Bismark Tawiah said political appointments are similar to the game of football where a non-performing player must be replaced with a better player.
