I AM WAITING FOR CLEARANCE TO FILE – TEYE NYAUNU

Former Member of Parliament for Lower Manya, Mr. Michael Teye Nyaunu has said that he’s still waiting for clearance from his party’s National Executives Committee, NEC, to decide his fate on whether he’ll file his nominations to contest the parliamentary primaries on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress which deadline is on the 10th of September 2015.

Speaking on Rite FM’s political show, Platform on Monday night, he said that with the deadline for the filing of nominations very close, he’s yet to be given the green light to go ahead. He said he that he’s had extensive talks with the executives who promised responding to his request and give him the due clearance to go ahead. On the contrary however, they have failed to live up to their word.

He said he still waits patiently and won’t go ahead to pick his forms until he hears from his executives.

Mr. Nyaunu on why he wants to get back into the august House of Parliament said he wants to complete his unfinished work which he did not complete while in office. He said he was under huge pressure from his people to get back to represent them because the sitting MP had failed them. “My house is always inundated with loyal constituents calling on me to join the race to parliament,” he revealed.
