Hunger Project helps train Agric Extension officers to improve agriculture

A non-governmental organization, Hunger Project is helping to train Agric Extension Officers to enhance agriculture.

They are also supporting farmers with credit facilities which is a grant from the USA and its absolutely free. The project also raised 25000 US DOLLARS to setup a Credit Union for the farmers in the next four years.

Speaking to Rite FM News, Mr. Peniel  Reinarh who is the Project Officer for Zone 5, said they were able to build forty eight Epicenters in the Eastern Region which is improving health care in the farming communities.

Mr.Peniel said, they provided farming inputs such as fertilizers, ammonia, herbicides, and others to farmers to enhance their farming. He added that, they also built storage facilities for the farmers to store their produce after harvesting, adding that, with the intervention of Hung Project,  farmers can now harvest more per acre than they were harvesting before.

Hunger Project aims to reach transforms the life of more people as it expands.
