Gitmo Two: ‘Only agents of the devil will condemn clergy’

A pastor has launched a blistering attack on government communicators who have taken the clergy to the cleaners for questioning the decision to accept terror suspects in the country.

According to Pastor Felix Ofosu Djan, such persons are agents of the devil whose actions must be condemned in no uncertain terms.

His comment is an apparent response to Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho, who branded Catholic Bishops as “Pharisees in cassocks” for demanding the two ex-Guantanamo Bay detainees, Umar Muhammad Bin Atef and Khalid Muhammad Salih Al-Dhuby be taken to their home country.

Koku added that the Catholic Bishops “leave their common sense and start to complain” when they see and hear anything that has to do with the President for political mischief.

But Pastor Felix Ofosu Djan in an interview with Adom News said those condemning the clergy are ignorant of spiritual matters.

He explained that Men of God are the spiritual leaders of the country thus must be accorded the same respect as the President.

Pastor Ofosu Djan, who is the Founder and Head pastor of the Pure Worship Centre at Odorkor Terrazzo in Accra, indicated that Men of God foresee Ghana’s future before it is manifested in the natural.

“Anyone who speaks against Men of God on this Gitmo issue has links with the devil, so those insulting pastors must be condemned” he stressed.

The pastor said anyone who cannot see beyond the natural but condemns God’s servants in the country would incur the wrath of God.

Pastor Ofosu Djan urged government spokespersons to “stop the noise in the air because what we [pastors] see, they cannot see”
