‘’People are daring parliament’’, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Yilo Krobo Constituency has said.
Lawyer Magnus Kofi Amoatey who doubled as the Chairman of the Legal Committee in Parliament speaking with Rite FM lamented that the good people of Ghana are daring Parliament with some of their unfound utterances.
The legal practitioner is of the view that the powers parliament has or exercises should be taken away then there would be no true democracy in the country.
I think we are recording situation in this country, he lamented.
He continued that Ghanaians should be careful because they are taken their (Ghanaians) freedom of speech to an unlimited extend, adding that it is sad.
He further noted parliamentarians are very powerful to the extent that no one can take legal action against any member of parliament for his utterance in the cause of his duty.
