Ghana to Host Agric Africa Summit

The management of “Welcome to Africa” is organizing an agricultural focused investment summit dubbed “Agrique Africa Investment Summit, 2015” on the 17th    and 18th of November, 2015 at the World Trade Center in Accra, Ghana.

Agriculture and Agribusiness in Africa is amongst the fastest-growing sectors in Africa and is likely to lead to the anticipated economic transformation that we currently see taking place in many emerging economies in countries such as Thailand, Indonesia, Brazil, Columbia, Ukraine, and a few others that boast of abundant land and water.

The potential of Africa’s agricultural sector currently surpasses its current output. While more than one-quarter of the world’s arable land lies within Africa, it generates only 10percent of the global agricultural output.  To make the agricultural system work more successfully, experts estimate that Sub-Saharan Africa alone requires additional annual investment of as much as $50 billion where Agriculture and Agribusiness in Africa could potentially be worth $1trillion. It is clear there is potential for growth.

Speaking to the founder of “Welcome to Africa” yesterday, she explained this summit is the first of its kind of the company since their inception in the country. According to her, the Afrique Africa Investment Summit is brought by Welcome to Africa, headquartered in the UK, with a vision of leading initiatives that drive investment and trade into Africa with current focus on Agriculture. It is now hosting this exclusive event in conjunction with players of the Agricultural sector, to give their audience and sponsors the opportunity to witness a brilliant collaboration of agribusiness and investors, a high profile networking platform for agribusiness, and of course to enjoy the caliber of the event and the opportunity available in the Africa Agricultural sector.

The Founder of Welcome 2 Africa, Miss Bamidele Owoola, added that, this event is going to run all over the continent of Africa each year to the benefit to all agribusiness high level players in Africa.

Truly Africa is set to experience something great starting from Ghana on November, 17-18, 2015.
