Ghana Navy arrests 15 recalcitrant fishermen

15 recalcitrant fishermen have been arrested by the Ghana Navy on the southern coast of Ada for engaging in light fishing. 31 generators and 32 high voltage bulbs, as well as other fishing accessories used for the operation were also siezed.

The Public Relations Officer of the One Garrison of the Ghana Armed Forces, Lieutenant Maxwell Asola, narrated the incident to our Tema Radio Ghana’s Correspondent, Yvette Adu Effisah.

Lieutenant Asola said the Ghana Navy is committed and poised to work hard to ensure that the Country’s territorial waters are not destroyed and is safe from pirates.
