GFA receive final tranche of US$ 1million from Premier League headline sponsors First Capital plus Bank

Headline sponsors of the Ghana Premier League, First Capital plus Bank has paid the final tranche of US$ 1million as its sponsorship money to the Ghana Football Association.

The money according to report was received by the FA on Monday August 3 which had First Capital plus Bank fulfilling their obligation as title sponsors of the League.

The amount received will hence see each of the 16 Premier League Club receive a mouthwatering sum of GHC 55,000 (US$ 14, 864).

This will however serve as a sign of relieve to the teams who are in dying need of money to help facilitate their remaining three matches in the League.

The Ghana Football Association had initially received the first tranche of money from the headline sponsors prior to the commencement of the League with the second installment coming just before the start of the second round of the League.

The Nations football governing body last year signed a five-year sponsorship deal with First Capital plus Bank worth US$10million.
