Galamsey Is A Threat To Our Education – Osino Chief

The chief of Osino in the eastern region, Osaberemah Otu Darko IV has expressed worry about the age old effects of galamsey activities on education and agriculture in the community. The chief expressed his sentiments at the speech and prize giving day at Osino Senior High School.

According to him, most children of school going age in his community have dropped out of school to engage in the illegal business. This according to him is a threat to the future of our educational system and the country as a whole.

He urged parents to take their children’s education seriously as well as strictly ensure that they are always put in the classroom.

Osaberemah Otu Darko IV added that teachers should desist from engaging in amorous relationships with students since they the teachers are supposed to serve as worthy role models for them.
