Forestry commission to flush out illegal miners.

The programmes coordinator of the forestry preservation programme under the auspices of the Forestry Commission, Mr. Cudjoe Awudu has said that, the commission is on it coarse to flush out illegal miners who destroys the forest reserve areas.

He said this has been active since the ministry of lands and natural resources begun to form task force to evacuate illegal galamsey operators in the mining areas.

Mr. Awudu speaking to rite news added that, the commission is engaging the communities in the form of education to desist from these illegal mining activities because it is having bad impact on the forest and again not to accept any money from individuals or companies who want to do illegal mining in such areas.

He noted that, their intervention to curb these challenges affecting the forest zone areas in the country has resulted in good results.
