Food Sovereignty Ghana Lauds Operation Planting For Food And Jobs

By Austin Ofori Addo

The Director for Food Sovereignty Ghana, Mr. Kofi Adjei has observed that rolling out the much touted flagship programme, ‘Operation planting for foods and jobs’ is a step in the direction. This according to him is premised on his conviction that such a venture stands to enhance the agricultural sector.

Mr. Adjei who made this known in an interview with Rite news added that aside other benefits of the campaign, the programme will also ensure value addition to our local food commodities.

He lauded the government’s initiative for the campaign and urged all stakeholders in the campaign to give in their best to also ensure food security in the country.

He however urged for strict supervision of the project in order to ensure that it achieves its success.

‘Supervision is a top priority in everything and so for the success of the campaign, government must take its supervision seriously,’ Mr. Adjei added.
