Food Allergy Can Kill Within Three Days If Not Treated – Doctor Warns

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Global Health Alliance, Dr. Kwasi Yeboah has advised the general public to desist from eating or feeding the stomach with food items ‘that are bad for their system.’

Consumption of food systems of this nature, he warned could led to untimely death of the consumer.

Food allergy refers to an abnormal response to a food triggered by your body’s immune system.

In adults, the foods that most often trigger allergic reactions include fish, shellfish, peanuts, and tree nuts, such as walnuts. Problem foods for children can include eggs, milk, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, and wheat.

The allergic reaction may be mild. In rare cases it can cause a severe reaction.

Dr. Kwasi Yeboah gave the caution in an interview with Captain Adabugar, during the Food Safety, Nutrition and Hygiene segment of the Rite Morning Ride on Tuesday.

The doctor who described food allergy as dangerous said it can kill within three (3) days if not treated because the food turns toxic.

He attributed the situation to environmental changes and certain blood groups.

“Sometimes, food allergies are caused by environmental changes where someone eat a food substance which he or she is not used to.  People of certain blood groups also experience food allergies while others also inherit it from families,” he asserted.

Dr. Kwasi Yeboah therefore recommended that sufferers of food allergy should immediately seek first aid treatment such as wormwoods or Moringa leaves mixed with porridge while seeking medical attention.
