Fire Guts Four Bedroom House At Mfuom

The exact cause of the rampant fire guts in the country, sometimes leaves the populace to question if properties and lives that go down the drain are unrealistic and unimportant as though pragmatic steps are always put in place by government and disaster management organizations, to sensitize the masses on the need to adopt fire safety measures, yet stories of fire guts is unfolded each day. 

At Mfuom, a suburb of Dunkwa – On- Offin in the central region, a four bed room house has been raided down by a wild fire that led to the destruction of properties worth millions of Ghana cedis; however no casualties were recorded.

According to our Central Regional correspondent, Gabriel Bediako who witnessed the scene, fire officers attended barely 2 hours after reports were communicated to them leaving no property to be saved from the wild fire which nearly affected other neighboring houses.

Fire service personnel, who visited the scene in an interaction with the media, explained that the fire was suspected to be as a result of power fluctuations which characterized the day. In an interview with occupants of the rooms who could not control their tears, the fire raid has registered an indelible imprint in them as hard earned resources over the years have just gone down the drain without trace.

As at the time this report was filed, total estimated property lost could not be established but fire service personnel assured that, the National Disaster Management Organization, (NADMO)  will be sent a report to relieve the victims.
