Farmers get new technology

A new technology has been introduced by the Nest Technology Ghana Limited in our farming system that will help farmers to be able to determine the nutrient content a soil needs and the appropriate time to apply those nutrients doubled with the time for irrigation to replace the traditional guess farming practiced in Ghana.

According to the managing director of Nest Technology Ghana Limited and the general secretary of Ghana Association of Vegetable Exporters (GAVE) Mr. Daniel Alabi, this new device is a pen like inserted into the farm land before a famer cultivates the land and even when the crops are planted to read the nutrient required by the soil at a point in time. This will guide the farmer to apply the needed amount of nutrients to the farm at the right time.

Ghana is still crawling behind when it comes to technology advancement in Agriculture and that is why farmers always do guess work on their farms .Mr. Daniel Alabi on “Akuafo Si Sen” today revealed that Nest Technology Ghana Limited has brought this technology to eradicate the misuse of fertilizer and other chemicals on our farms and also advance the agriculture sector in terms of technology.
