Farmer Unity Key in Paving Way for Resolution of Challenges – Samuel Somoah

Farmers have been tasked to stay united to pave way for speedy identification and resolution of their problems.

Manager of Adoptive Trust Station, Mr. Samuel Kwadwo Somoah who made the call said farmers stand to easily identify their problems and facilitate a speedy resolution of such challenges if they come together.

He chided the inefficiencies of most Farmer-Based Organizations which did not provide the needed shoulders for farmers to rely on.

“The FBOs are not effective and unreliable for farmers to rely on even when the farmers consider them as their shoulders on which to seek assistance in times of need because they don’t operate on a common goal. So farmers themselves should come together and identify their problems and find solutions to it and stop depending on organizations,” Mr. Somoah counseled.

Farmers staying united, the Adoptive Trust Station manager added, could equally afford them the opportunity to access farm machinery needed to improve upon their works.

“The banks will also see their seriousness for financial assistance if they contribute money and send it to them,” Mr. Somoah alluded and called on farmers to come together and own their own machines to make their work easier and faster to reduce production cost,” he averred.
