Presiding member for Kwahu south district, Hon Sam Ofosu Kissi has cautioned honorable assembly members not to attend assembly meetings with party T-shirts. He made this emphatic statement yesterday at the first assembly sitting in Kwahu-Mpraeso
Speaking to 40 assembly members, he reiterated that the assembly is programmed to bring development and change to the people and hence this cannot be achieved if politics is fused with deliberations in meetings.
Issues raised for discussions were measures that could be adapted to foster development in every electoral area, code of conduct for honorable assembly members as well as budget for 2015/2017.
Addressing members, the district chief executive, Honorable Joseph Omari pleaded that new assembly members do not hesitate to ask old members how the assembly system works. He added that their work could be made easier by frequently meeting with their people to find out their problems and probably suggestions that can help bring change and development to them.
