District Superintendent of Police, DSP Albert Delatsa of the Somanya Police Station in the Eastern region has been speaking to Rite news concerning the drop in crime rate in the last half of the year, 2015.

Rite FM therefore took it upon itself to find out from the district police commander the extent to which his outfit dealt with crime as well to find out about the statistics in the past year.

DSP Delatsa giving a breakdown of crime statistics between July and December 2015 noted that offences of narcotics, threats of death, threats of harm and offences of stolen property accounted for some of the lowest crimes reported while that of assault recorded the highest reports.
