The Acting President of Shama Traditional Council, Nana Kwamena Wienu II has called on Extension Officers to educate farmers on how to use chemical and pesticides on their farms.

Nana Wienu II in an interview with Rite FM noted that because farmers misapply chemicals on their farms, they do not get good yields.

He also advised farmers to strictly use recommended pesticides on their farmers to reap high quality yields.

He therefore appealed to them to avoid the use of pesticide which have residual effect and are dangerous for human consumption or injurious to crops.
