Chief Appeals To Network Operators

By Austin Ofori Addo:

The chief of Aboabo no-2 in the Ashanti Region, Nana Ofori Paaben II has called on the authorities especially the telecommunication companies to act expeditiously to rectify the poor telecommunication services his people are being forced to live with.

According to Nana Paaben, the poor network situation is not enhancing smooth development and business transaction and this is really affecting day to day activities in the area, adding that the poor nework problem is posing a lot of threat to his townsfolk and people in terms of healthcare delivery.

According the respected chief, his people have been forced to live at constant risk especially in times of emergencies as they can’t even call for ambulance services or any kind of assistant in dire moments. That is not all; the transfer of the sick from one hospital to another has also been affected as there is no network to facilitate information between the hospitals.

The situation has also affected teachers and other professionals in the area. Teachers for instance are at their wits end as they can’t even communicate to access required information pertaining to the job, fearing that this could affect the efficiency of their delivery on the job.

According to Nana, he and his elders are considering awarding the devoted teachers in Aboabo no 2 for their commitment to stay and teach in the area despite the inconveniences.
