Charles Taylor concentrating on becoming a pastor

Former Accra Hearts of Oak star Charles Taylor says he has no intention returning to football after accusing Hearts of Oak ruining his football career.

Taylor revealed that he may go into pasturing; that is propagating the word of God.

“My concentration now is to become a pastor because in everything we do, God must come first. I am always grateful to God for how far he has brought and I want to preach his word,” he said.

Taylor was tipped for greatness when he played an influential role in the Phobia’s CAF Champions League success in 2000, but his career dipped with the speed of light.

The former Great Olympics midfielder career was hit by persistent injuries after a short spell at Kotoko and Enugu Ramges. He attempted to re-launch his career with Berekum Chelsea in 2013, but failed.

And he says football is now a thing of the past in his life, he wants to become a pastor.

“I won’t play football again. I have a turbulent career in football so I don’t think I should continue,” Taylor told Rite Sports.
