The 2012 cashew national best farmer, Mr. Anthony Aidoo speaking to Rite news has revealed that the Cashew Growers Association of Ghana has presented a proposal seeking support from the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MOFA) .

According to him, this is a call from the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Ministry of Trade and the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning to support the cashew farming and expand its production in the country.

Ghana is currently producing 70,000 metric tons of cashew every tear to the international market. According to him, what is stated in the proposal is about the supply of proper planning materials and access to credit production in the country. However, there is the need to increase production because the demand from the international market is high.
