The role of a teacher cannot be down play in the impactation of knowledge to learners (pupils)

The exercise took participants through the administrative roles of teachers in both inside and outside the classroom, planning and preparation of lesson note and administering and conducting reliable and valid classroom text to enhance quality of performance of pupils.

Mr. Alexander Amanya Narh, a facilitator from the Ghana Education Service who interacted with participants on the rudiment of lesson plan commended the exercise. He said the training will help teachers to improve upon the way they handle pupils, but has also pledged, the Yilo Krobo Education Directorate, Supervision Unit will supervise activities of the school to ensure the right things are done in order to reward Rite FM’s effort.

“I met a cluster of teachers of teachers and we talk about duties of a teachers as an administrator, parents, remodel and others. All the same we went into preparation of lesson note and with, the teachers we change their way of behaving towards students and will also help them to improve on lesson preparation that will lead to a better result in the future.”

“We will be visiting them frequently to keep special eyes on them. The circuit supervisor and the other officers will be coming round to monitor the activities since they are selected for the DEOP II project,” Mr. Alexander Amanya said.

A lesson plan is the teacher’s guide for running a particular lesson, and it includes the goal (what the students are supposed to learn), how the goal will be reached (the method, procedure) and a way of measuring how well the goal was reached (test, worksheet, homework etc.) A daily lesson plan is developed by a teacher to guide class learning. Details will vary depending on the preference of the teacher, subject being covered, and the needs of the students. There may be requirements mandated by the school system regarding the plan.

Rite FM’s Online Manager Boafo Eric Tetteh, known in the media as Omanba Kodwo Boafo, in close to two hours took teachers on how to construct, administer and score test, characterized by validity and reliability, qualities every good test must have.

A test is a task or series of tasks which are used to measure specific trait or attributes in pupils. This include paper-and-pencil instruments with a series of questions which pupils must answer.

The responses given to the questions enable the teacher to obtain an estimate of a specific trait being measured. It also gives an estimate of how well an individual learner performs on a task
