There has been an accident at the Agavenya roundabout in Somanya. The accident which happened in the early hours of today between a Hyundai public transport bus and a Krobo Girls Teacher’s bus has not taken any lives yet.
This is what a witness at the scene of the accident, Mr. Felix Padi had to say on Rite FM’s Morning Ride Program.
‘I arrived at the scene around 9:30 am to find someone bleeding out on the street in the presence of passing pedestrians and I quickly took him to the Atua government hospital”.
Two cars were involved in the accident; The Krobo Girls Teachers bus with car number GV 1347-14 and a Hyundai car with registration number ER 1155-16. The accident is causing a traffic at the moment’
‘I believe the Hyundai bus stopped for a passenger to board and the conductor fell and seriously injured himself upon the collision with the Krobo Girls bus. He was bleeding heavily when I saw him’
‘There were 3 people in the Krobo girls’ bus, two teachers a male and female and the bus driver. But the Hyundai bus driver was nowhere to be found, leaving behind the 2 women in the bus. One woman had a baby that looked about one or two months old. They both appeared unharmed”.
The Krobo Girls’ bus driver was seated in the car dumbfounded at the incident and he couldn’t respond to any questions.
