Boakye Agyarko brings peace to Asuogyaman NPP

The Former Minister of Energy in the Akuffo Addo administration has held a unity meeting with members of the Asuogyaman wing of the party and called for peace and unity amid ongoing claims of disunity in the constituency.

Hon Boakye Agyarko whose vision for holding the meeting was amongst others to instill oneness and rally party members behind the NPP government, met with chairmen of various organs of the party in the Eastern region and the Asuogyaman constituency.

The meeting held under the theme ‘Galvanizing unity for 2020’ and held at the Aquatic Conference Room at Mangoase involved party executives including the eastern regional 2nd vice chairman, Richard Twum Barimah; Council of Elders, Patrons, chairman of the Asuogyaman constituency, Dr. Akyea Darkwa; the District Chief Executive, Hon Samuel Agyekum and the Presiding Member of the Asuogyaman district assembly.

Other members present were Mr. Paul Asare Ansah who is former Director General at the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, NPP Assembly Caucus, Constituency Executives, and other key stakeholders.

The meeting also aimed at fortifying its fortunes well enough to win both parliamentary and presidential seats in the Asuogyaman constituency in the 2020 general elections.

This the party is confident of achieving by addressing current hostilities within its ranks, especially in the media, a development which concerned party members believe could divide the Asuogyaman constituency and derail its electoral fortunes.

Aggrieved individuals of the party were therefore counseled to bury the hatchet in the interest of the party.

Hon Boakye Agyarko who chaired the meeting and key speaker of the event appealed to party members to cease fire and rather focus on winning the 2020 general elections.
