The senior national team, the Black Stars held their first training session at the Accra Stadium on Monday afternoon ahead of the trip to Mauritius for the 2017 AFCON qualifying match.
18-players reported for Monday’s training session as Coach Avram Grant and his assistants Maxwell Kunadu intensified preparations for the qualifier which will be played over the weekend.
Goalkeeper Razak Braimah, Daniel Amartey, Alfred Duncan, Edwin Gyimah and Thomas Partey were all expected to report to the team’s camp yesterday evening.
The Black Stars will hold two training sessions on Tuesday before they travel to Port Louis on Wednesday for the game which will be played on Sunday at the Ajalay Stadium in Belle Vue.
The players tried out PUMA’s new technology to be used in creating the next design of kits for the Black Stars during yesterday’s training session.
The German kits manufacturing giants will be using the Black Stars as the first African country to try out the technology with the remaining two African countries (Cote D’Ivoire and Cameroon) trying it out later this week.
Ghana is leading Group H with 10 points and a point in Mauritius will seal their place at next year’s AFCON in Gabon.
