Bawumia is not undermining Akufo-Addo – NPP

The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has described as laughable claims by the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) that it’s Vice Presidential Candidate Dr Mahamadu Bawumia is undermining it’s Flag bearer Nana Akufo Addo.

According to NPP’s Deputy Communications Director, Anthony Karbo, Nana Akufo Addo is very happy with the hard work being done by Dr Mawumia for the Party and his campaign.

The Central Regional Chairman of the NDC, Allotey Jacobs speaking on Peace FM Wednesday asserted that Dr Bawumia is consistently taking the shine off Nana Akufo Addo.

He said the three time running mate seemed to be doing all the work of Nana Akufo Addo.

“What should concern Nana Akufo Addo’s campaign team is about what Dr Bawumia is doing… he is undermining Nana Akufo Addo and they are not seeing it. May be they think that Nana will step down for him. If you’ve visited a school and they have requested for desks, when you donate desk to them do you put your name on the desk; are you the one contesting the upcoming November Presidential elections? Bawumia is undermining Nana Akufo-Addo and it will explode,”

But speaking to Kasapa News, Anthony Karbo stated that Dr Bawumia will not be distracted by such comments but will remain focused on his work of exposing the incompetent Mahama led administration.

“If we want someone who is worrying another, then it’s rather Vice President Amissah Arthur who is worrying President Mahama. Amissah Arthur is the Chairman of the Economic Management Team and look at the current state of our economy, look at the huge national debt that has accrued under this government. They see no problem with the poor state of the economy and they are rather busying themselves with issues about Bawumia. He will continue to tell Ghanaians the good policies the NPP has for them”.
