Assembly set to rehabilitate 2 dams

The Builsa North District Assembly, with financial assistance from the World Bank is set to rehabilitate two dams in two separate communities in the district.

The dams which are currently in poor shape and affecting the water yield and agriculture activities in the area was earlier this year earmarked by the assembly for rehabilitation.

Disclosing this to Ghanadistricts.com, the District Chief Executive Mr. Bonaventure Adangabey echoed the importance of the project and said it could go a long way to improve agriculture related activities in the district. He said is expected to begin as soon as possible on the two dams.

However, the DCE further revealed that communities such as Siyansa and Kalijisa dams have also been rehabilitated respectively.

He lauded the World Bank’s efforts to partner the government of Ghana in its quest to improve agriculture in the district.
