All Set For 2015 Farmers Day In Bolgatanga –Minister

The 2015 Farmers’ Day celebration is scheduled to take place on December 4 at Bolgatanga in the Upper-East region of the country. Farmers across the country will be awarded for their immense contribution towards economic growth and development as well as ensuring food security in the country.

Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture in charge of crops, Hon Ahmed Alhassan Yakubu has said the ministry is fully prepared for this year’s celebrations adding that the people in the region are fully poised and prepared to give a clean hosting.

Hon Alhassan said this today on the Rite Morning Ride in an interview with Owuraku Asamoah, host of the show. When questioned about preparations for the event, the deputy minister remarked that, two trips have already been made and all was set to have a memorable Farmer’s Day.

He added that partners have begun donating items and monies to the ministry to cater for cost on budget and expressed his gratitude to the partners for their generous contributions. He has therefore assured Ghanaians that this year’s celebrations will be exceptional.
