Alhassan Yakubu Is A Failure – Nana Opambuor

President for the Concerned Farmers Association of Ghana, Nana Oboadie Opampour Bonsu Boateng has suggested that the deputy minister of Agriculture, Alhassan Yakubu has failed in the discharge of his duties and therefore suggested that he step down because he is not fit to hold any position in the Agric ministry.

Nana Opmabuor Bonsu who made the demands on Rite FM’s Akuafo sesen on Wednesday intimated that the deputy minister is a major contributor to the collapse of the agric sector in the country.

His call arises out of his assertion that despite the deputy minister being in his position for ‘too long,’ he has not made any impact in the agric sector and he thus has does not deserve the title, honourable. Nana Opambuor who insisted that he had nothing personal against honourable Yakubu said he has lost every respect for him, adding that even the various extension officers were performing better than him.

Nana Opambuor who further chastised the deputy minister, said he ought to be ashamed of himself and that he is a disgrace to the agric sector.  According to him countries like Libya and Egypt are on a dessert but they don’t make cheap complains and excuses of hamattan while Ghana which is surrounded by water cannot make any headway in its agric sector.

He also accused the deputy minister of misappropriating 5m cedis being sponsorship for the 2015 Farmers’ Day celebrations and called on him to make proper accounts.
